With 113 million passengers in 2024, France’s third busiest station needs to ensure the performance of its tracks. In the darkness of autumn nights, so as not to disturb any passengers, ETF teams worked between September and December 2025 to renew one of the tracks in the station’s historic hall.

In 2026, ETF will regenerate nearly 334 kilometres of railway tracks across France. This achievement once again demonstrates ETF’s expertise and its long-term commitment to the national rail network. Three major works campaigns are currently being carried out by our operational teams, who are mobilised across the country.

During the night of 8 January to 9 January 2026, Storm Goretti hit the Paris region, particularly the RER D line. ETF teams mobilised on Friday 9 January to ensure that traffic could resume as quickly and safely as possible.

As part of a 100% VINCI consortium alongside Campenon-Bernard, Dumez and Axians France, ETF is carrying out track work for the future maintenance workshop at Brézet (63). The second largest regional network after Île-de-France, with 220,000 passengers daily, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is seeking to accelerate the renovation of its trains. The transformation of this railway depot will increase the site’s autonomy and optimise train maintenance.

Used by around a hundred freight trains each year, this former branch line connecting Fleury-les-Aubrais (45) to Marigny-les-Usages (45) was in need of refurbishment. As project contractors, the ETF teams, in conjunction with Sogea Environnement, will be working between September 2025 and January 2026 to renew the entire track and surrounding infrastructure on this 8 km section of line.

As every year, ETF’s Rapid Suites travelled many kilometres across France to actively contribute to the renewal of the national rail network. Nearly 303 kilometres of track were regenerated in 2025, improving the safety, reliability and sustainability of the network.

Since 3 March 2025, ETF teams have been working on the restructuring of the Porte de Versailles T2 tram terminus, with reopening scheduled for February 2026.

The summer of 2025 marked a key milestone in the reconfiguration of the Massy rail hub. As part of the Massy–Valenton Ouest (MVO) high-speed rail project, a major operation was carried out to prepare for the creation of a second track dedicated to high-speed trains, which is essential for improving traffic flow in the south of the Île-de-France region.

At a time when ecological transition is becoming a priority, rail freight is the most efficient mode of transport. By reactivating links between Eurovia Route’s quarries and coating plants, ETF combines logistical efficiency, reduced carbon footprint and industrial synergy.

From 9 to 11 November 2025, ETF attended the TransMEA exhibition in Cairo, a key event for transport and infrastructure stakeholders in Africa and the Middle East.

November 2025 marks a significant milestone for Franco-Egyptian cooperation in training and employment with the signing of the first work-study contract in Egypt between ETF and the French University in Egypt (UFE) and the visit of an Egyptian delegation to the ETF Academy premises.
